The film BHAG MILKHA BHAG is produced and directed by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra. In the lead roles are Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor. The screenplay and dialogues of the film written by Prasoon Joshi who is also collaborating with music directors Shankar,Ehsan and Loy for the soundtrack of the film. To justify with the character role of Milkha Singh, Akhtar has not only begun to grow his hair and beard to be ready to play a Sikh athlete in “Bhag Milkha Bhag”, he has also changed his lifestyle. Every morning he is up early to put in those extra hours of practice for his role as Milkha Singh to get it right. To match such a challenging character Farhan worked hard to bring radical changes in his life. He had training session every morning wrap up his athletic activities by 9 in the morning. In any case film industry is not awake before 9 a.m,the late nights are being avoided. The 38 years old Farhan says morning running regime has transformed my entire lifestyle. Farhans also made changes in his diet avoided food that he was taking regularly.

The story of the film BHAG MILKHA BHAG through light on the life of an athlete and how he built himself as a great human. Milkha Singh was rejected thrice by the army but later he got enrolled in the army’s electrical mechanical engineering branch in 1952 where his brother Malkhan singh put in a word for him and experienced his first sport outing at its athletics meet a fortnight later. Determined to be the best and realizing his talent as sprinter he took to training five hours every day under the watchful eyes of Coach Havaldar Gurdev singh.
